The jury members of the “Best Use of Stone” category, supported by Turkish Stones, have been announced for the World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2024, which has served as an important gathering for the international architectural community for over a decade and will be held in Singapore between November 6-8.
On Friday, November 8, during the Best Use of Stone award session, the designers of the eight finalist projects will present the nuances of their designs utilizing natural stone to a distinguished panel of three expert jurors. The jury, chaired by Architect Yasemin Sener, Founder of the pRchitect Media and Communications, also includes Simon Doody, Partner Architect at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, and Tim Kwan, Co-founder of Office AIO.
The Best Use of Stone award is intended to honor completed architectural projects that exemplify innovative and exemplary applications of stone—a material esteemed for its versatility and enduring strength. Through this recognition, Turkish Stones seeks to illuminate the transformative potential of stone within the realm of contemporary architecture.
