Would you say that your projects have a signature style?
How do your aesthetic approach, attention to detail, and understanding of user experience shape the way you design spaces?

In fact, we have never confined ourselves to a single design style. Every project has its own story, context, and user profile. We work across a wide range of typologies, from residential projects to public spaces, and our design language is shaped by the concept of each project as well as our clients’ lifestyles.

What matters most to us is not adhering to a specific style, but creating spaces that are personal, sensory, and experiential. Our goal is not only for a space to look beautiful, but also for the people living in it to feel good, build a connection with it, and continue enjoying it for many years.

Whether a project is classical or contemporary, using natural materials, integrating sustainable technologies into our designs, and creating a timeless aesthetic remain among our fundamental design principles.

What does material selection mean to you?
How do you position materials with a strong character, such as natural stone, within your projects?

For us, material selection is not merely an aesthetic choice; it is one of the most important elements that determines how a space feels and the connection it establishes with its users. The texture of a surface, the natural veining of stone, the way it reflects light, and the character it acquires over time all form an essential part of a space’s sensory experience.

For this reason, we choose natural stone not only because it offers a luxurious appearance, but also because it is a healthy, durable, long-lasting material that comes directly from nature. We enjoy incorporating natural stone into many areas of living spaces, from flooring and bathrooms to kitchen countertops and custom-designed furniture. We believe that natural materials become more beautiful with age and give spaces a timeless character.

What is your perspective on Turkish natural stones?
What role do you think local materials play in terms of identity, sustainability, and design value within projects?

I believe that Turkish natural stones are among the world’s most valuable natural resources in terms of quality, diversity, and aesthetics. Choosing local materials not only offers advantages in terms of cost-performance, but also contributes to sustainability through shorter supply chains.

In addition, I believe that using materials native to the geography where a project belongs gives it a stronger identity. When a space establishes a connection with its location, it offers users a more natural, sincere, and authentic experience. For us, local materials are not merely construction elements; they are important design components that tell the story of a space.

What is Renda Helin Design’s vision for the near future?
Could you share the projects you are currently working on, the new areas of design you would like to explore, and your goals for the future of your brand?

This year, we are primarily focusing on residential projects. We are dedicated to designing spaces that touch people’s everyday lives—spaces that not only offer aesthetic value but also enhance quality of life and establish a strong connection with their users. At the same time, we have extensive experience in designing public spaces, and we want to continue creating projects that bring people together, foster a sense of belonging, and enrich the spatial experience.

One of the most meaningful projects I hope to realize is designing a library in honor of my family. For me, this is not simply about designing a building; it is about creating a lasting legacy dedicated to knowledge, culture, and future generations.

Looking ahead, Renda Helin Design aims to continue creating designs that reveal the unique story of each project, convey the spirit of a space, and appeal to the senses, without being confined to a single style. By bringing together natural materials, sustainable solutions, and timeless aesthetics through a human-centered approach, our greatest goal is to design spaces that are not only beautiful but also lived in, experienced, and appreciated over time.

Because, for us, good design is not only something that is seen—it is something that is felt, experienced, and leaves a meaningful mark on people’s lives.
