Yozgat Pool Thermal and Aquapark Complex is designed to lead the city in terms of both function and form, in order to meet the needs of a social center in the city, and is designed to produce the most comfortable and useful places for city residents.
The fact that Yozgat is developing in a sociocultural sense has been the main criterion that guided the building design, which includes the functions of the pool, waterpark and thermal pool. User demands were evaluated on a provincial scale, and the expectation that the use of women and men would be differentiated within the building was an important input in the design of the social facility. The project was designed especially with the aim of enabling women to socialize.
The control of the sun and its relationship with water is another factor that plays an active role in the design process. While the control of the sun is provided with patterned sunscreens used in the facade design, the shadow play created by these elements supports the aesthetics of the space and creates a different perception at all hours of the day. On the other hand, the carrier system and the main structural system in the ceiling were used as a complement to the aesthetic stance. As a reflection of all the decisions made in mass design, a simple and easy form has been put forward with the aim of emphasizing the function rather than form.
