About Project

Melek Düvenci Architects, led by architect Melek Düvenci, has designed the distinctive Yamas Restaurant at Titanic Deluxe Golf Resort Belek, exemplifying their expertise in architectural and interior design both across Turkey and internationally. Conceptualized as a Greek tavern, the project immerses visitors in a historic atmosphere amidst lush greenery, olive groves, and views of the river, transforming dining into a sensorial experience.

Drawing inspiration from Ancient Greek history, the design invites guests to explore elements of Greek culture and mythology throughout the space. The entrance, constructed using locally sourced natural stones, evokes the allure of historical ruins. High arches and masonry stone columns imbue the space with the mystery of entering an ancient structure, setting the tone for the immersive experience within.

A decorative reflective pool, integrated with the surrounding landscape of olive trees, accentuates the ambiance, particularly under the soft evening illumination and the warm glow of wicker pendant lights. Complementing this, the covered bamboo-roofed reception and bar area incorporates natural materials—bamboo, wicker, and wood—alongside stylish amphorae, bohemian wall decorations, and a modern aquarium, emphasizing the connection to Greek culinary tradition. Village plaster juxtaposed with the natural stone walls enhances textural harmony, while artistic interventions—including a metal olive tree sculpture, ancient Greek alphabet inscriptions, and custom-designed mythological sculptures—illustrate how art shapes the character of the space.

The tavern’s cultural essence is expressed through dance, live music, and entertainment, with a central stage for traditional Greek performances surrounded by seating areas. Natural stone sofas, cast mosaic flooring composed of light-colored regional stones, and pergolas crafted from salvaged old-house timber create a tactile and visually rich environment. Olive trees, both indoors and in the reflective pool, reinforce the Aegean ambiance, while rattan lighting suspended from trees evokes a bohemian tavern feel. Through a seamless blend of art, culture, and nature, Yamas Restaurant showcases Melek Düvenci Architects’ innovative design philosophy, offering guests an unforgettable, multi-sensory journey where ancient Greek inspiration meets contemporary interpretation.
