Ormos Tartışık is a residential project located in the North Aegean, Çanakkale Ayvacık, named after the village of Tartışık. Tartışık Village is a small settlement with approximately 15 houses, situated to the northeast of the Ayvacık district center. The project is being developed in phases, with the first phase, the West phase, consisting of four detached houses.
The houses stand out with their natural stone facades and the reinterpretation of local architectural elements in a simplified form. Long, continuous windows between plastered floor cornices divide the natural stone façade surfaces, creating a controlled relationship between the interior and exterior spaces. The steel-supported pergolas, covered with reeds, added to the front of the houses and extending along the main façade, facilitate outdoor use. Additionally, the village-style oven and the open kitchen counter in the garden enrich this outdoor experience. The simplicity, naturalness, and raw feeling of the façades are continued indoors through the use of marble in the stairs and fireplace, veined ceramics on the floor, and raw concrete ceilings with wooden mold traces.
Ormos Tartışık is a project aimed at combining the centuries-old residential typology of the region with modern needs and design philosophy. Simple, natural, rooted—neither too much nor too little.
